Preparation:
To create a good bond, try exfoliating the skin before applying your glue.I love wearing ponytails so I have my nape area threaded for that really

Application:
Try a Q-tip dipped in isopropyl alcohol to remove any excess adhesive, especially in the fron hairlinet, Afrodite Team
When using tapes, wet fingers to avoid the glue sticking to your fingers ö

Use a fine point or wooden stick (toothpick) to attach your lace to the
adhesive. Kelly H, Northants

I find when I fit my lace, tie my hair in a scarf and sleep on it, it sets really

Try using a teeny amount of gel on your natural hair to smooth back your
stray hairs. Keisha W, Brighton
If you use a protective wig cap, make sure its not too tight ö this may cause headaches and or neck ache. Janette C, West Midlands
Using old tights that match your skin tone, make your own wig cap - this will protect your natural hair and match your scalp colour. The Afrodite Team
Removal:
For stubborn glue areas, use an old toothbrush and dip in isopropyl. Gently press onto affected area and allow to saturate. Take an old face cloth and
gently pinch the embedded glue away from the lace. Wash wig as recommended. The Afrodite Team
If you manage to get glue on your hair, try rubbing some olive oil on the
affected area, and gently comb off. (I find that any brand of olive oil seems

Washing:
Try dry shampooing your lace wig as an alternative. Marsha J, Newcastle
Avoid using shampoos and conditions which contain protein. The Afrodite

Donāt be afraid to trim the ends of your wig ö it will keep your style looking

Fringes work really well with lace wigs ö you donāt always have to have the hairline on show. Experiment with different styles. Mrs Lewis, Cheshire
